You Can Feel The Difference With Spencer Kelley

“I am grateful to be part of a company that truly values each of us and provides the technical training, mentorship, and support to successfully serve our clients. I am especially proud to be a part of the training team equipping the next generation of technicians both at EAB and beyond.” – Spencer Kelley

Spencer’s Time at EAB

After earning his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2014, Spencer began his career at EAB as a TAB Technician in Training. Spencer participated in EAB’s Advanced Training Class and received his AABC Certification one day before his first anniversary, an achievement he is proud of.

In 2016, Spencer joined EAB’s Higher Education Team and quickly identified a love for technical projects in laboratory and research settings.

Spencer’s dedication and hard work paid off and in 2017 he was promoted to TAB Technician. Over the next few years, Spencer began taking on more of an on-site leadership role and assisted in leading a pair of projects for Lamar University in Beaumont.

Due to Spencer’s passion for highly technical projects and the growth in laboratory testing, Spencer was promoted to the role of Laboratory Supervisor in our Training Center in 2019. As a part of EAB’s Training Team, Spencer coordinates the training space and hands-on activity materials. He also serves as an instructor who assists trainees that need additional one-on-one help by reinforcing concepts.

Milestone Moments

We are so grateful for all that Spencer does at EAB. Here is just a glimpse at his milestone moments over the past 7 years.

In 2017, while Spencer was working as a TAB Technician, Spencer illustrated his problem-solving skills by helping to write a program that addressed a problem in the fans at the Moody Building at Rice University. Pieces of Spencer’s coding were used in the final program for the building.

Spencer helped develop a new way to calibrate EAB’s Laboratory reference nozzles ensuring high accuracy for our Laboratory Testing services. Spencer was also a key member of our corporate Instrumentation Committee seeking to standardize field instrumentation and our in-house calibration verification process.

More About Spencer…

What is your absolute favorite thing about working for EAB?

EAB is a people-first company. I appreciate that we are all regarded as active participants in the success of the company and feel valued as part of the team.

Which of these core values (Integrity, Quality, Consistency and Teamwork) do you most identify with, and what does it mean to you?

Integrity and Quality are the two core values that I most identify with. Quality is the condition of knowing that the work produced is good. If you act with Integrity, you are doing things in a way that ensures you can stand by them years after completing the work – it leads to work beyond reproach. Being able to entwine them is where I like to reside.
