As we continue to push the boundaries of excellence in our training programs, we are excited to share some significant updates and upcoming events with you.
New Course Launch: Commissioning Electrical Power Systems
EAB understands that many commissioning providers have extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and are adept at the commissioning process. As a mechanical engineer with 40 years of experience, I also know that electrical systems are not easily understood by non-electrical people. The concepts of amps, volts, capacitance, impedance, harmonics, and KVARS are not explained by mechanical knowledge. The opaquely written electrical codes, NFPA 70, 99, 110, and 111 add to the difficulty of commissioning electrical systems.
We are excited to announce the launch of EAB Training‘s first Commissioning Course, Commissioning Electrical Power Systems, in November 2024. This will be the inaugural course in a series of three commissioning courses that EAB Training will offer. Join us this fall for our updated electrical commissioning classes and experience the EAB difference. Stay tuned to our blog for more updates on our training programs and innovations. We look forward to welcoming you to our state-of-the-art training facility and helping you elevate your commissioning skills to new heights.
Course Overview
EAB’s electrical commissioning class is designed to teach an electrical novice the fundamentals of electricity needed to commission any size low voltage electrical (120V to 460V) system. The class also introduces students to medium voltage (4160V) systems. EAB’s training provides students a complete low voltage system including emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, paralleling gear, rack-out breakers, lighting controls, receptacles, VFDs, and many other circuits to practice commissioning exercises.
Unique Learning Experience
EAB’s electrical commissioning class is unique. Students with any level of electrical knowledge are given the opportunity to learn and apply electrical concepts using training materials created by EAB’s commissioning subject matter experts and a doctor of instructional design.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
As summer approaches, we are winding down our training classes until the fall. This pause provides us with a valuable opportunity to upgrade our course content, develop new training aids, and create new classes to meet the evolving needs of the industry. Despite the break in our training schedule, our Lab testing remains in full swing. We have a busy summer ahead with scheduled tests and look forward to hosting some of our lab customers for product demonstrations at our facility.
Looking Ahead
At EAB Training, we are committed to providing top-notch training and continuously enhancing our offerings to ensure our students receive the best possible education. This summer, while we focus on improving our facility and developing new classes, we remain dedicated to our mission of advancing industry standards and equipping professionals with the skills they need to succeed.
