Critical Environment Certification Course Path
The NSF/ANSI 49 Biological Safety Cabinet Field Certifier Advanced Training course offered by EAB Training is designed to instruct participants according to industry standards, providing comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of Biosafety Cabinet (BSC) certification. Participants will gain in-depth understanding of BSC construction and functions, review various BSC types and their installation requirements, and learn best practices for using BSCs safely and effectively. This course prepares participants for the NSF 49 written and practical exams.
Participants will engage in practical exercises, including conducting site assessments and creating testing grids for certification. They will learn to perform critical tests such as inflow and downflow airflow tests, smoke pattern tests, and balancing airflow tests.

This course equips students with the skills and knowledge required to ensure the optimal performance and safety of Biosafety Cabinets.
At completion of the course participants have the opportunity to take the NSF written and practical exam at the EAB Training Center.

The class schedule is as follows.
Monday – Friday: Instructional Training / Saturday - Sunday: Written exam and performance certification in the presence of a testing proctor
