1997
Dan graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
2011
Dan was certified as a Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) from the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) this year.
2012
Dan joined Engineered Air Balance as a Commissioning Coordinator after gaining two years of commissioning experience at another firm. He received his certification as a Test and Balance Technician from AABC. Dan also received his Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) accreditation through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
2012-2014
For three years, Dan served as the commissioning team leader of the UTMDA Pavilion project. This project involved an addition which tied into an existing and actively operating hospital environment which required finesse to perform the commissioning without interrupting the active hospital operation.
2013
Dan quickly rose to the position of Commissioning Project Manager.
2016-2018
Dan was the acting commissioning project manager for the Houston Methodist West Hospital Expansion which included an expansion of an existing central plant and an added bed tower at this campus.
2016-2020
Dan served as the commissioning project manager over the extensive MD Anderson HAL projects. He assisted in development of additional deliverables to aid in owner staff operation of the facility as well as future pharmacy accreditation efforts.

Which of these core values (Integrity, Quality, Consistency and Teamwork) do you most identify with, and what does it mean to you?

Well, all four of our core values are great. But I would have to say I identify most with teamwork. I am frequently impressed by the quality of my teammates. There are just some really intelligent but personable employees here at EAB that I’m lucky to get to work alongside.

What is your ideal room temperature, and why?

Trick question. I prefer to be outside, but only on days where the humidity is low and it’s below 78 degrees and there is a nice breeze…

What is your absolute favorite thing about working for EAB?

The free coffee. No, I’m kidding (It’s just ok). There is a real momentum here at EAB that is hard to explain. There is something about being a part of a group of people that have defined the industry for the better part of 60 years. This is the fastest paced work environment I’ve ever encountered. There is just so much going on and it’s exciting to be a part of it each day. I’ve never once been bored.

What did you want to be when you were little?

I wanted to be an airline pilot. But the coffee is better at EAB. Plus, I am home every night.
