Career Progression

Career Progression

1976-1978

During high school, Tim completed the Air Conditioning and Heating Program at Northeast Oakland Technical School in Pontiac, Michigan.

1978-1980

Tim earned an associate degree in Air Conditioning Technology from Ferris State College in Michigan and worked in residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning service.

1981

Tim joined EAB as a Field Technician in Training. When Tim interviewed for the position, he had no idea how fulfilling it would be to deliver optimum operating facilities to his clients.

1997

Tim was promoted to Project Coordinator. He worked on projects of varying sizes and types including hospitals, commercial office buildings, criminal justice facilities and K-12 schools.

2003-2004

Tim oversaw the Galveston Jail project. This was a fast-paced project that included life safety. Our team had multiple challenges to correct engineering issues during the smoke removal phase of the project. Under Tim’s guidance, our team worked together to ensure that the system operated correctly and that we delivered an optimum operating facility.

2004

Tim was certified as a Test and Balance Engineer (TBE) by the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) and was promoted to Project Manager. Around this time, he developed relationships with a multitude of school districts in the Houston area including Katy ISD, Lamar Consolidated ISD, Fort Bend ISD, Galena Park ISD, Clear Creek ISD, Spring Branch ISD, and oversaw all their facilities.

2017

One of Tim's most prestigious projects was the Katy ISD Legacy Stadium with 12,000 seats. Tim oversaw the complex testing and balancing of HVAC systems in the press box, locker rooms, offices, concession stands, athletic departments and special events banquet rooms.

Present

With a long and productive career under his belt, Tim continues to serve as Project Manager in Houston. His experience and knowledge make him a strong leader in the Test and Balance field and a trusted resource for both clients and other industry professionals.

More About Tim

More About

Which of these core values (Integrity, Quality, Consistency and Teamwork) do you most identify with, and what does it mean to you?

I try to emulate all 4 core values the best that I can. However, if I had to choose the one I most identify with, it would be integrity. I tell everyone who is around me at work or home that you should act as if there is always a camera on you and treat others better than yourself. Then you will always be able to sleep at night!

What is your ideal room temperature, and why?

70 degrees, because you can always add clothing.

What is your absolute favorite thing about working for EAB?

Solving HVAC issues for clients and watching their reaction when solved. Also, the decades of experience that EAB has at your fingertips is so valuable.

What did you want to be when you were little?

Professional Snow Skier. Both of my brothers and my cousin were awesome Snow Skiers, and I always tried to out ski them. Flying down the mountain seemed to come naturally to me!

What do you like to do on your days off?

Spending time in nature watching the wonders God has provided us to enjoy!
