Josh Avera

Josh began his career at EAB as a part time Technician in Training during the summer. He had prior experience in general construction which added value to his service.

Josh was promoted to Technician.

DFW Airport Terminal D was the first major project Josh worked on. It was such a large-scale project that required half of the Dallas personnel, full time, for over a year. Josh began the project as a “helper” and finished as a Team Lead.

Josh became a Project Supervisor. At the time, Josh completed his largest project to date, Lonestar High School in Frisco Texas.

The Material Science and Engineering Research Laboratory at The University of Texas at Dallas was another key project in Josh’s career. This project uncovered his interest in the challenging arena of HVAC controls and applications in laboratories.

Josh took on the role of Project Coordinator and mainly worked with The University of Texas and their campuses.

With extensive experience in training employees over the years, Josh took on the role of Safety Coordinator for the Dallas office.

Josh was certified as a Test and Balance Engineer (TBE) by the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) and was promoted to Project Manager. During this time, he led the project for Toyota’s state-of-the-art North American Headquarters in Plano, TX. This project presented many challenges or “opportunities for growth”, as Glenn Varner calls them. It included over a dozen buildings going up on an accelerated schedule which honed Josh’s skills in organizing and scheduling long term projects.

Josh continues to serve EAB with excellence as Project Manager in the Dallas office. His long and impressive career includes a 10+ year relationship with The University of Texas at Dallas.
