Everything You Need to Know (and Maybe a Little More): EAB Training Center FAQs

How do I enroll in a course?
Enrolling is simple. Just fill out our Training Interest Form — no essays, no awkward icebreakers, and no pop quizzes (yet). Our team will follow up to help you find the right course for your goals.

Where is the training center located?
We’re nestled in Spring, Texas – just north of Houston and conveniently located between “I think I missed my exit” and “Oh good, there’s parking.”
📍 604 Spring Hill Dr, Suite 140, Spring, TX 77386
Want to scope us out before committing? Take our Virtual Tour, it’s like Google Maps, but cooler and more HVAC-focused.

What are the prerequisites for courses?
It depends on the course. Some classes are open to newcomers, while others are designed for more seasoned pros with some serious experience under their tool belts.

How far in advance should I enroll?
Our classes fill up fast (because they’re that good). We recommend enrolling 4–6 weeks in advance. Certification-based courses may have earlier deadlines — especially if we need to verify prior training or experience. Bottom line: the sooner the better. Procrastinators beware.

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit cards and offer invoicing for company-sponsored participants. Sadly, we do not accept payment in energy drinks or HVAC puns, though we do appreciate the effort.

What types of courses do you offer?
We specialize in training that covers:

  • Testing and Balancing (TAB) – For those who like their airflow measured and their readings precise.
  • Commissioning (Cx) – Making sure systems function as intended, before anyone starts asking why the lights won’t turn off.
  • Critical Environment Certification (CEC) – Focused training for cleanrooms, labs, healthcare spaces, and other high-stakes environments.
  • Construction Manager – Built for GCs and superintendents who want to better understand how systems interact in the field.
  • Design Professional – For engineers and architects looking to integrate TAB and Cx considerations from the ground up.
  • Building Operator – Because understanding the system is the first step to running it efficiently (and sleeping well at night).

Are the classes in-person or online?
Currently, our training is in-person, because you just can’t calibrate a flow hood through a screen. But we are exploring hybrid options for certain courses, so stay tuned if you’re hoping to train in your bunny slippers.

THE FUN STUFF YOU DIDN’T THINK TO ASK

Will there be homework?
Yes. Don’t panic. It’s not a 10-page report. But yes, we assign real homework because we’re serious about making sure you leave with knowledge that sticks.

Are the instructors any good?
They’re the best. Not only are our instructors experienced, credentialed, and respected across the industry, they’re also great at breaking down complex topics without putting you to sleep. No monotone lectures here.

Is there food?
Is there ever. We provide breakfast and lunch every day of training, and it’s not just a stale bagel and a coffee pot from 1997. Expect hot meals, tasty options, and enough fuel to get you through even the toughest airflow discussion.

And snacks?
Oh yes. Endless snacks. The kind that make you think, “I didn’t know I needed trail mix and peanut butter crackers at 10:15, but here we are.”
