Alvin’s History at EAB

Alvin Beddingfield, Jr.In 2009, Alvin Beddingfield, Jr. joined EAB as a Field Technician in Training at the Houston office. Over the years, he has made remarkable progress in his career, consistently demonstrating dedication and exceptional performance.

In 2012, Alvin achieved a significant milestone by becoming certified as a Test and Balance Technician by the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC). This certification allowed him to lead various small projects in the world’s largest medical complex, the Texas Medical Center.

Transitioning from the Healthcare market to the K-12 Schools market in 2015, Alvin took on the opportunity to lead multiple new construction and renovation projects for elementary schools in different school districts. His experiences in both sectors equipped him with comprehensive knowledge and skills, leading to a promotion to TAB Project Supervisor.

In 2019, Alvin’s commitment to professional growth led him to obtain the Test and Balance Engineer (TBE) certification from AABC, further solidifying his position as a highly skilled professional.

Throughout 2019-2022, Alvin continued to excel, overseeing all of EAB’s testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) services for CFISD’s new construction and renovation projects. His outstanding client support and dedication to EAB’s core values fostered strong relationships with the district, making him an essential asset to the company. In recognition of his exceptional achievements, Alvin was promoted to Project Manager in 2023.

Milestone Projects

In 2014, Alvin played a crucial role in the annual ASHRAE Standard 170 testing for the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. This experience showcased his expertise in the Healthcare market, setting the stage for further career growth.

Alvin faced his most significant project to date in 2016, leading the TAB services for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD’s (CFISD) Cypress Park High School. The project encompassed approximately 592,000 square feet and was designed to accommodate 3,000 students. Successfully navigating this undertaking demonstrated his ability to handle large-scale projects with precision and efficiency.

Alvin’s capabilities continued to shine in 2017 as he oversaw all of EAB’s TAB services for CFISD’s new construction projects and renovations, which included 20 consecutive projects. His commitment to client satisfaction and dedication to EAB’s values cemented strong relationships with the district.

In 2018, Alvin significantly contributed to the success of Klein Cain High School in Klein ISD, one of the largest high schools in the Houston Metro area. With its vast 685,000 square feet and capacity for 3,500 students, this project demanded top-tier performance, leading to his promotion to TAB Project Coordinator.

He oversees all the EAB TAB projects in CFISD, including prestigious ventures like the CFISD Mark Henry Administration Building and the CFISD Visual and Performance Arts Center.

I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, being outdoors, and shooting sports.

What did you want to be when you were little?

Ever since I was little, I have always wanted to be in the engineering field. I have enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together just to see how they work.
