“Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to.” – Sir Richard Branson
In the TAB and Cx industry, formal training, like the kind at the EAB Training Center, is relatively new. Technicians are still traditionally taught through only on-the-job training with mentors passing down knowledge to the younger generation, but most companies do not have a deep enough pool of experience to tap from without slowing down current jobs. Since training is typically considered to not be hyper critical to the completion of a job, this sometimes leaves technicians working without a solid knowledge of the tasks they are performing, or the ultimate outcome of their labor.
This is where EAB Training can give your company a boost without bogging down already strained resources. Our training is done by industry leading professionals that will elevate your tech, or yourself, and get your team working to a higher level in a shorter amount of time. By increasing their capabilities and knowledge through training, your team can gain more knowledge in a shorter amount of time than what it would take to learn the same skills through field experience alone. This translates to your technicians being put on jobs sooner without the need of a mentor and can generate more revenue faster than when using the traditional model of training. The knowledge gained also gives your team more confidence when dealing with adversity in the field and they will then be able to represent the team in a professional and beneficial manner. While all companies benefit from training, the true beneficiaries of training centers like EAB Training, are smaller companies that usually feel like they can’t afford to send technicians in for training.

From the Desk of Bill Chalmers:
EAB is a founding member of the Associated Air Balance Council or AABC. EAB has always been a proponent of AABC’s Total System Balancing philosophy. This includes verifying the entire system works in accordance with the design intent.
EAB created a commissioning group at the request of a customer because they recognized that we were doing most of the commissioning work as part of the Testing and Balancing or TAB scope. EAB’ commissioning team uses the same rigor to verify mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety and security systems as the TAB team uses on mechanical systems. It is why EAB is one of the largest commissioning providers in Texas.
EAB Training Center captures the spirit of EAB’s TAB, Commissioning and Critical Environments teams in all our training courses. This is possible because of EAB’s generous investment in the training center.
Please plan to attend one of our many in-person classes. We are pleased to share EAB’s knowledge.
